How do I connect my bank with Open Banking?
Open Settings → Bank Connections, choose your bank from the TrueLayer-supported list, and authenticate using your bank's app or web portal. TradeKit never sees your banking password. You can disconnect or change permissions at any time.
How do I submit my MTD ITSA quarterly update?
Open the Tax tab → MTD ITSA, choose the quarter you want to submit, review the totals TradeKit has calculated, then tap "Submit to HMRC". You'll be redirected to HMRC's Government Gateway to authorise the submission. Confirmation is stored in TradeKit and emailed to you.
My quote/invoice PDF won't generate
Force-close TradeKit and reopen it. If the issue persists, check Settings → Business Details has a trading name and address filled in — those are required fields for a valid invoice. Still stuck? Email kristan@kihtech.co.uk with the quote/invoice number and we'll dig in.
How do I cancel my subscription?
If you subscribed through the web (Stripe), open Settings → Subscription → Manage Billing — you'll be taken to the Stripe customer portal where you can cancel, change plan or update card details. If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, cancel via your device's subscription settings.
How do I delete my TradeKit account?
Settings → Account → Delete Account. We erase your personal data within 30 days. Note that financial records (invoices, expenses, tax submissions) are retained for 6 years to meet UK HMRC requirements — see our privacy policy. Full instructions on the account deletion page.

The bite score won't load
The bite score needs a location and an internet connection on first load each day. Go to Settings → Location and confirm a venue or postcode is set. Once today's score is cached, the rest of the day's offline.
How do I change my region (UK / Ireland / NI)?
Settings → Region. Choose UK England & Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, or Republic of Ireland. The app re-tailors licence reminders, close-season warnings and regulation cards to match.
How do I claim a venue as a fishery owner?
Email us at kristan@kihtech.co.uk with proof you operate the venue (fishery website, business email matching the domain, or a brief written confirmation). We manually verify each claim and switch your account to the Venue role within one working day.
Will other anglers see my catch locations?
Only if you choose to share. Privacy Shield (Settings → Privacy) has three levels — Secret (location completely hidden), Fuzzy (blurred to roughly 2 miles), and Exact. Default is Fuzzy. EXIF data is stripped from any photos you publish to the community feed.
How do I delete my FishingTactix account?
Settings → Account → Delete My Account. You can export everything first using the "Export All My Data (GDPR)" button. Deletion erases your profile, catches, photos, venues and messages within 30 days. Full instructions on the account deletion page.
